MGISS x Energy Innovation Summit: See IPAS up close
Hosted in Liverpool for another year, Energy Networks Association’s (ENA) Energy Innovation Summit is the UK’s flagship dissemination event for the electricity and gas networks operators.
This event is all about how innovation in the energy sector can help us acheive Net Zero, so MGISS will be showcasing our big innovation project, Interupption Prevention Alert Service (IPAS). Match-funded by the European & UK Space Agencies, IPAS is currently in its pilot stage with Northumbrian Water Group (NWG), a next-generation risk alert solution for UK utilities to alleviate risk within proximity to critical assets across entire networks.
“MGISS have been working on a European Space Agency supported project in the UK utility sector over the last 2 years, IPAS, which has been developed to remove risks associated with built environmental change near critical utility network infrastructure, particularly those assets that are buried, and therefore at risk of third party damage.
Satellite data and services are now able to significantly reduce network monitoring costs and support field operations across entire countries. This supports the decarbonisation of our infrastructure networks and the built environment savings millions in interruptions and emissions.”
Mike Darracott, Managing Director, MGISS
There is no better time than now to get involved in this project. With it’s already proven impact of risk management on UK networks at such an early stage- you could be one of the first to see real-time impact on your network! We can work collaboratively together to evaluate the data instantaneously- building a business case while seeing instant impact on your assets.
