MGISS offer a suite of specialist OS data products and OS data services that leverage the intelligence and rich visualisation within the Ordnance Survey National Geographic Database (NGD), Opendata stack and associated contextual mapping products to optimise the value of location data and hidden insight, for critical services and infrastructure, ultimately serving the needs of society in tackling some of the biggest challenges facing us all. MGISS work with all aspects of OS data, including UPRN data.
Focusing on flexibility, performance, and precision, we help customers extract maximum value from Ordnance Survey data—across field, office, and enterprise systems.
Our optimised vector tile packages are used by some of the largest utilities and infrastructure companies in the UK to deploy smart and intelligent digital maps to operations teams working on asset management and maintenance programmes. This could be in water, gas, electric, renewable energy, telecommunications, highways, rail, ports/airports and across environmental services where rapid response and reliable, efficient mobile applications are necessary to quickly capture and use information for decision-making.
Embedded data services and georeferencing tools from MGISS offer a cost-effective and seamless approach to data migration and governance of legacy data siloes to reconcile old, poorer-quality spatial data with a changing digital mapping estate. Products such as CADTransform can manage data interoperability between CAD and GIS.
The OS NGD is a single store of ALL Ordnance Survey’s authoritative data for Great Britain. By 2027, NGD is expected to replace legacy datasets such as OS MasterMap Topography Layer and elements of AddressBase.
The OS NGD delivers the richer data you need for better analysis and our download service, OS Select+Build, makes it easier to find, package and analyse the data you need, such as address and building data for emergency planning.
OS NGD data is different from other OS products because it is accessed from one single source where you can find the data you need WITHOUT having to purchase and download whole datasets making it cheaper as well as faster to use. It also has a simpler data structure, designed to help answer questions and develop more intelligent solutions, with quicker loading and implementation.
