MGISS: Hitting the Road and Showcasing Innovation!

Sarah Scott | 14 June 2024

The past four weeks have been a whirlwind of events for the MGISS team, and we’re thrilled to share our experiences with you! We’ve been busy connecting with customers, showcasing our latest solutions, and gaining insights into the industry’s most pressing challenges.

A Look Back: Busy Stands and Inspiring Conversations

  • EsriAC 2024 (May 14th): A massive thank you to everyone who stopped by the MGISS and Eos Positioning Systems stands! It was fantastic to catch up with existing customers and meet new faces. The day was filled with inspiring conversations, and the MGISS team is eager to help you tackle your toughest challenges.
  • Utility Week Live (May 21st-22nd): A special thanks to Leica for letting MGISS join them on their stand at the NEC. Eamonn and Gareth had the pleasure of discussing some truly fascinating customer projects during this busy two-day event where they demonstrated vSITE with the Leica Zeno FLX100 plus and all things cm-accurate AR for job sites.
  • Digital Construction Week/GeoBusiness (June 5th-6th): Mike, Dave, Gareth, and Eamonn joined vGIS on their stand in London. The event was buzzing with customers, and we had some exciting discussions about upcoming projects.

What’s on the Horizon?

MGISS x Spring Webinar (June 18th):

Join Mike Cooper, Darius Mirdamadi, Clive Surman-Wells, and the team from Northumbrian Water for a webinar with Spring on June 18th. We’ll be diving deep into how MGISS has been supporting NWG in mitigating network disruption risks caused by recent planning law changes and rapid UK housing development. This pilot program discussion is a must-attend!

LSBUD National Damage Prevention Day (June 26th):

The MGISS team will be demonstrating the power of simple, cost-effective GIS solutions at LSBUD on 26th June. See how these solutions seamlessly integrate with existing hardware and smartphones/tablets, empowering non-engineers to collect precise data and visualise it in real-world 3D models using augmented reality. Discover how MGISS can help prevent service strikes, improve on-site safety, and eliminate design issues.

NWG Innovation Festival (July 8th-11th):

The MGISS team is joining NWG to present the findings of the IPAS pilot program at the NWG Innovation Festival. This risk alert service, supported by NWG, Essex & Suffolk Water, the European Space Agency, and the UK Space Agency, has the potential to minimise service disruptions by automatically identifying potential issues with buried infrastructure.

We’re excited to continue these conversations and showcase how MGISS can help you achieve your goals. Stay tuned for more updates on these events and beyond!  Look forward to seeing you there.
